Antrim County 24-Hour Release Gap
The official Antrim County Correctional Facility page and its inmate-information section were checked on July 23, 2026. Neither offered a current public roster, a “released” view, nor a rolling 24-hour archive. No public window, field list, refresh schedule, retention period, or booking-photo rule could be verified. The local answer is therefore direct: there is no sheriff-published list of people who left the jail today.
That absence changes what a search result can prove. There is no official public entry that can be watched until a name drops off. There is also no stated retention clock that would explain when a recent entry disappears. Antrim County releases must instead be confirmed through the office that processed the departure, a custody-change service, and the court that supplied legal authority. These sources answer different parts of the event.
For a broader review of several days, the Antrim County 72-Hour Releases page uses a multi-day audit process. The same-day task here is narrower and more urgent.
Check Antrim County 24-Hour Releases
Begin with the person’s last known custodian. Someone held at the Antrim County Correctional Facility may have returned to the community, moved to another jail, entered MDOC custody, or gone to a federal or immigration agency. The fastest local check asks the jail to distinguish those outcomes. Staff may limit what can be given by phone, so note the office, time, and exact response.
- Call the Antrim County Correctional Facility at 231-533-8627. Ask whether the booking ended in community release or transfer.
- Ask for the releasable date and time. If staff cannot give it orally, ask which office holds the booking and release record.
- Check VINELink under Michigan for a matching person and agency. Treat a release or custody-change notice as corroboration, not proof that no other hold applies.
- Search MiCOURT by person or case number. Read the bond, dismissal, sentence, credit, probation, or commitment entry for legal context.
- Request the sheriff’s existing booking and release records when a documented timestamp, disposition code, or receiving agency is needed.
The court entry and physical exit may not share one timestamp. A judge can sign an order before jail staff receive it, check other holds, finish records, and complete the departure. MI-VINE can also update after the agency transmits a change. A same-day check should record each source and time rather than forcing all systems into one instant.
Note: A no-result is inconclusive when agency participation, spelling, database scope, or update timing has not been confirmed.
Antrim 24-Hour Release Fields
No online Antrim County 24-hour release fields are available because no official feed was found. Still, the sheriff’s underlying booking record can supply the facts a recent-release list would normally contain. Request the record by name, date range, and a known case or booking number. Ask for existing fields and any code legend, not a new explanation.
| Release field | What to request or verify |
|---|---|
| Person and booking | Name, booking identifier, and admission date tied to the event |
| Release timestamp | The recorded date and time Antrim custody ended for that booking |
| Release or disposition code | The exact stored code plus its agency code legend |
| Court and case | The court location and case number linked to the custody decision |
| Bond or authorization | Existing bond details or the order that allowed release |
| Hold or warrant | Any recorded hold relevant to the final custody outcome |
| Receiving agency | The destination when departure was a transfer, not community release |
Antrim has not published a local data dictionary, so generic labels such as “time served” or “recognizance” should not be assigned to a code without the record’s legend. A jail timestamp establishes when county custody ended. MiCOURT may explain why. Together, those two records provide a stronger account than a copied roster entry.
Antrim Same-Day Release Timing
A just-processed release can appear at different times across the jail, court, and notification systems. That is not necessarily an error. Court staff record judicial acts. Jail staff process custody. MI-VINE relays an event from a participating agency. Each source owns a different part of the timeline, and none should be silently treated as the physical exit time.
The official Antrim inmate-information page shows the county’s actual public offerings and its VINELink route:
The captured county page supports the key distinction: VINELink is offered for custody information, but Antrim does not display a same-day released-person table there.
When a phone response, court entry, and notification differ, keep the observations separate. Ask the sheriff for the release sheet if the actual exit matters. Ask the court about the meaning of its order. If the issue is a MI-VINE alert, confirm the matching agency and booking before drawing a conclusion.
Note: An order authorizing release does not show that all processing and hold checks were complete at that moment.
Antrim Release Records by FOIA
The Sheriff FOIA page is the formal route when oral confirmation is not enough. Records Clerk Natasha Cook is identified as the Sheriff FOIA Coordinator. A focused request can seek the booking sheet, booking and release timestamps, release or disposition code, code legend, receiving agency if transferred, and the bond or release authorization. Include a narrow date range and all known identifiers.

Mark the subject or cover “FOIA Request.” Electronic submission is also available through the countywide FOIA channel at FOIArequest@antrimcountymi.gov, though sheriff-held jail records should go to the sheriff route first. The county says a mandatory form is not required. An electronic request is deemed received one business day after transmission.
There is no fixed published price for an Antrim release sheet. The county may require a 50% deposit if an estimate exceeds $50, and qualifying indigent requesters may seek the documented first-$20 waiver. Ask for electronic delivery, inspection, and a cost estimate. A deposit notice or partial denial is not the same as “no record.”
Antrim Releases and Custody Transfers
“Released from Antrim County Jail” and “released to the community” are not interchangeable. Corrections deputies transport people to other jurisdictions and state prisons. A transfer ends the Antrim booking but starts or continues custody elsewhere. The next search must follow the destination shown by the jail or court record.
| Recorded outcome | Correct next source | What it proves |
|---|---|---|
| Community departure | Sheriff release sheet, MI-VINE, MiCOURT | County exit, custody notice, and legal reason |
| MDOC commitment | OTIS | State prisoner, parolee, probationer, or discharged status |
| Federal sentence | BOP locator | BOP location or past federal release date |
| USMS custody | Federal court or USMS record | Federal pretrial or transport status |
| ICE transfer | ICE detainee locator | Current or limited recent ICE custody result |
OTIS does not contain jail-only Antrim bookings. Use it only when a court or release record indicates MDOC jurisdiction. A parolee has left prison but remains under state supervision, while “Discharged” is the clearer OTIS term for completed MDOC jurisdiction.
Antrim Release Apps Are Absent
No official Antrim sheriff mobile app advertising recent releases or mugshots was verified. This is a distinctive local limit, not a reason to promote an unrelated app as a county roster. The county inmate-information page links to VINELink, and Michigan materials support VINEmobile. Both belong to the MI-VINE notification system.
MI-VINE can support a named-person custody check and notice for release, transfer, or escape when the agency and booking participate. It is not an Antrim 24-hour release feed and does not supply a public photo list. Current Antrim participation for a specific booking must be checked in the live service or by calling MI-VINE at 800-770-7657. A missing result remains uncertain.
Antrim Release Data Has Limits
Several commercial pages use Antrim jail or roster wording, yet they do not establish that the Sheriff owns their data. They cannot prove an official 24-hour window, field set, refresh rate, photo practice, or retention rule. The official facility and inmate-information pages remain the local authority, and neither publishes a recent-release archive.
Keep a short audit log for each check. Record the exact name variant, case or booking number, agency, search time, source URL, and whether the result was positive, negative, unavailable, or ambiguous. A server error is unavailable. A same-name match without a reliable identifier is ambiguous. This method preserves what was actually observed while a sheriff record is requested.
For one known person whose custody path is uncertain, the full Antrim County released-inmate search routes among the jail, court, MDOC, federal, and immigration systems. A same-day release claim should be made only when the source matches the custody event.
